Maurice Broaddus

Maurice Broaddus graduated in 1993 from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis and holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology.

He works as an environmental toxicologist for a local firm, Commonwealth Biomonitoring. He comes from a family that includes several practicing obeah (think: Jamaican voodoo) people, but is now the facilitator for the church, The Dwelling Place.

He is married with two children.His areas of interests includes religious studies, folklore, and myths. His previous book was the novella Orgy of Souls, written with Wrath James White.

Frederick Joseph

Frederick Joseph is an award-winning marketing professional, media representation advocate and writer who was recently selected for the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

He created the #BlackPantherChallenge and #CaptainMarvelChallenge, philanthropic enterprises enabling disadvantaged young people to watch these groundbreaking films.

He’s also the winner of the 2018 Bob Clampett Humanitarian Award, given by Comic-Con International: San Diego, and was selected for the 2018 Root 100 List of Most Influential African Americans. He lives in New York City.

Suyi Davies Okungbowa

Suyi Davies Okungbowa is a Nigerian author of fantasy, science fiction and general speculative work. His latest novel is Son of the Storm, first in the epic fantasy trilogy, The Nameless Republic.

His debut godpunk fantasy novel David Mogo, Godhunter (Abaddon, 2019), won the 2020 Nommo Ilube Award for Best Speculative Novel by an African.

His shorter works have appeared in various periodicals and anthologies and have been nominated for various awards. He earned his MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Arizona, and currently teaches at the University of Ottawa.
