What is Mercenary
A private individual who joins an armed battle for the purpose of making personal profit, is otherwise an outsider to the fight, and is not a member of any other official military is referred to as a mercenary. Other names for a mercenary include a soldier of fortune, a hired gun, soldier of fortune, and hired gun.
