Night of the Living Queers is a YA horror anthology that explores a night when anything is possible, exclusively featuring queer authors of color putting fresh spins on classic horror tropes and tales.

No matter its name or occasion, Halloween is more than a Hallmark holiday, it’s a symbol of transformation. NIGHT OF THE LIVING QUEERS is a YA horror anthology that explores how Halloween can be more than just candies and frights, but a night where anything is possible. Each short story is told through the lens of a different BIPOC teen and the Halloween night that changes their lives forever. Creative, creepy, and queer, this collection brings fresh terror, heart, and humor to young adult literature.

Kalynn Bayron

Kalynn Bayron is a debut author and a classically trained vocalist. She grew up in Anchorage, Alaska.

When she's not writing, you can find her listening to Ella Fitzgerald on loop, going to the theatre, watching scary movies and spending time with her kids. She currently lives in San Antonio, Texas, with her family.

Rebecca Kim Wells

Rebecca Kim Wells grew up in California before moving east in search of crisp autumns and snowy winters. Her debut novel, Shatter the Sky, was a New England Book Award Finalist, an Indies Introduce selection, and a Kids' Indie Next Pick. When not writing, she works at a fiercely independent bookstore in Massachusetts and spends too much time singing along to musicals.

Kosoko Jackson

Born and raised in the DC Metro Area, Kosoko Jackson is a digital media strategist for non-profit organizations; which enables his Twitter obsession.

Occasionally, his personal essays have been featured on Medium, Thought Catalog, and The Advocate.

When not searching for an extra hour in the day, he can be found obsessing over movies, drinking his (umpteenth) London Fog, or writing length Twitter Threads summarizing how Slytherin is the best Hogwarts House. A Place for Wolves is his debut novel.

Trang Thanh Tran

Trang Thanh Tran writes speculative stories with big emotions about food, belonging and the Vietnamese diaspora. They grew up in a big family in Philadelphia, then abandoned degrees in sociology and public health to tell stories in Georgia.

When not writing, they can be found over-caffeinating on iced coffee and watching zombie movies. She Is a Haunting is their debut novel.

Tara Sim

Tara Sim can typically be found wandering the wilds of the Bay Area in California.

When she's not chasing cats or lurking in bookstores, she writes books about magic, clocks, and explosives.

She is the author of Timekeeper

Ryan Douglass

Ryan Douglass is an author and freelance writer from Atlanta, Georgia. He writes about race, sexuality, masculinity, and representation in media. His work has appeared in The Huffington Post, Atlanta Black Star, Everyday Feminism, Nerdy POC, Age of Awareness, LGBTQNation, and Medium, among others.
