Samuel Richardson (1689 – 1761) was an English writer, considered one of the most influential writers of the 18-th century. Richardson's father wanted him to become a clergyman didn't have an opportunity to pay for the education so the young Samuel choose a profession to his liking and became a printer – the career that helped to reveal his writing abilities.
'Pamela, Or, Virtue Rewarded' is an epistolary novel by Samuel Richardson which is considered to be one of his three major literary works. It tells us about 15-teen year old girl who works as a maid.
