Parrot&Sweeney return in another trilogy of original whodunits, featuring newly promoted Detective Chief Superintendent George Parrot and his able sidekick Detective Inspector Daniel Sweeney. In this offering the two detectives encounter Kidnapping, blackmail and grisly murders. DARK JUSTICE involves them in attempting to right a wrong whilst finding a young kidnap victim. In RECKONING FOR A HARPY, they try to find the killer of an unpopular beautiful socialite, amongst a bevy of suspects. In THE BANKER'S PAYOFF, they have their work cut out to solve the murder of a former banker and the shooting of his brother. All three mysteries take place against the beautiful  backdrop of leafy Hadleigh and the two super sleuths slowly but surely unravel each case with their normal meticulousness and acerbic wit.
