Fran Manushkin is the author of many books, including the Katie Woo series, Baby, Come Out!, How Mama Brought the Spring, The Tushy Book and The Belly Book.

Fran was an editor at Harper & Row and worked with Ursula Nordstrom and Charlotte Zolotow. She lives in New York City.

Tammie Lyon has illustrated more than fifty books for children.

She began illustrating at a very young age while drawing at the kitchen table with her dad.

She lives in Ohio with her husband and loves to spend the day in her studio with her dog, Gus.
