The primary aim of my research in this book is to explore the intricate relationship between environmental pollution and economic growth. My book investigates how pollution impacts various aspects of the global economy, including development, technological advancements, and urban waste management. The research also addresses the contentious nature of attempts to mitigate global warming and evaluates the effectiveness of environmental protection measures. By examining these dynamics, Lok seeks to provide insights into how finite natural resources constrain economic growth and influence policy decisions regarding environmental sustainability.
The book emphasizes that while there are advancements in managing pollution and improving air quality, the ongoing challenges posed by climate change necessitate a deeper understanding of how economic activities contribute to environmental degradation and what strategies can be implemented for sustainable development.
