I collected a bunch of quotes, one-liners and positive ideas people put out there from different cultures all over the world throughout history.
Quotes are snippets of wisdom, information, knowledge and positive ideas that are often attributed to individuals but nobody knows for sure whether these particular people were the first to say these things or if these ideas were just attributed to them. There is almost nothing that’s original anyway. Somebody has already thought of most good ideas people come up with.
If you go through 15,000 quotes or so about life and wisdom as I have, you soon realize that there are only a few common qualities that make up a good, interesting, strong, courageous, noble, moral life. At heart, everybody gets tired, discouraged, weak, lazy and old. If you don’t release the energy in your spirit and renew it everyday, you lose pretty well everything. All anyone has got is a sense of spirit. Once that goes, either fight to get it back or be average like everybody else who live average lives working average jobs, paying their bills, getting no highs out of life.
There is a common cliché that men sometimes use in describing someone. If someone says “He lost it”, everybody knows what it means. It means that someone has let themselves go. Whereas once they were bright-eyed, strong and inspired, now they’re overweight, lethargic and have no sense of urgent passion to do anything. I saw The Ultimate Warrior, a professional wrestler a number of years ago then when I saw him ten years later, I didn’t recognize him at first because his hair was grey and his body was soft. He lost something. He died at the age of 54. At one time, he looked like the greatest athlete ever. If you lose that sense of life within yourself, you’ve lost everything. These little books I write might help you get some of it back.
There is a loose base of finite knowledge that constitutes basic one-liner wisdom. I tried to create that base here by gathering loads of optimistic ideas and filtering them to end up with what I think is a good book to read for entertainment and inspiration.
