Seasons of the Rat II is a journal of personal photos of the author’s pet rats, taken from April 4, 2023, through April 4, 2024 (World Rat Day). It is a continuation of the previously published photo journal, Seasons of the Rat, which was released last year. It consists of a series of photos, presented in chronological order, along with commentary or background information for each photo.

This book is for everyone. If you already own rats, you may very well smile if you recognize own your pet in these photos by its resemblance to mine, if not by the stories behind the photos. Perhaps these photos will bring back a pleasant memory. If you do not own rats, I hope I can convey some of the joy and sometimes sadness I feel from having rats in my life, or maybe I can pique your interest in them enough that you someday get rats of your own.
