This book is a short life and teachings of modern Indian prophet Sri Ramakrishna, whose life is a story of religion in practice. It contains a brief description of biography of the Great Avatara of Modern India - Sri Ramakrishna, compiled by Swami Nikhilananda. Also included are short explanations of several Systems of Indian Religious thought associated with Sri Ramakrishna's spiritual disciplines and experiences. The last part of the book, entitled, 'After the Passing Away,' gives a picture of the daily life of Sri Ramakrishna's disciples after his mahasamadhi and reveals the ascetic background of the Ramakrishna Mission.
