Johanna Wagstaffe

Johanna Wagstaffe is the meteorologist and science host for CBC Vancouver and CBC News Network. With a background in seismology, geophysics and earth science, Johanna has covered a wide range of science stories, from the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfire and the 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami to the Paris Climate Change Conference. She lives in Vancouver.

Heather Smith

Heather Smith FCA, FCCA, FICB, is obsessed with how effective automation and integration can unlock and produce timely, clean data, to generate information for fast, informed analysis and decision making.

Alison Hughes

Alison Hughes is the author of eighteen books for children and young adults, including the YA novel Hit the Ground Running, which was a finalist for the Governor General's Literary Awards and a Junior Library Guild selection. Her books have also been nominated nine times for provincial children's choice awards, among other honors. She enjoys giving writing workshops and presentations at schools, libraries, conferences and festivals. She also works as a writing advisor and editor for the University of Alberta.

Julie McLaughlin

Julie McLaughlin is an award-winning illustrator whose work includes commissions for editorial, advertising and publishing clients from around the world. Her previous books have been nominated for several awards, and she won the 2015 Norma Fleck Award for Canadian Children's Non-Fiction for Why We Live Where We Live (OwlKids). Julie grew up on the Prairies and now resides on Vancouver Island.

Holly Hatam

Holly Hatam is an illustrator and graphic designer whose work includes the #1 New York Times best seller Dear Girl by Amy Krouse Rosenthal. She lives with her family in Toronto, Ontario.
