It draws on ancient sciences such as Āyurveda, Tantra, Vāstu and Jyotiṣa Śāstra, as well as modern research studies, offering a comprehensive understanding of the advanced science behind Hindu rituals and traditions.
Part 1 of this book explains the daily rituals called Āhnika Dharma, which includes Dehalī pūjā, Svastika & Raṅgavallī (sanctifying the entrance), Śaucācāra (purificatory rites), Ācamana (ritual sipping of water), Dantadhāvanam (cleaning the teeth), Goseva (taking care of cows), Snānam (bathing), Vastra dharana (wearing clothes), Śayana and Saṃyogācara (sleeping and sexual intercourse) and a few others. Additionally, Part 1 provides details on women’s role in daily rituals such as Agnikriyā, Arghyadānaṃ, Deva pūjā, Vaiśvadeva, Athiti pūjā, and Bali. Scientific explanations of the various practices that are part of Śṛṅgāraṃ, such as the use of tilak, kuṅkuma, sindūr, mangalsūtra, nose and ear ornaments, toe rings and anklets, etc. are also included in Part 1.
