The Detroit Tigers date to the founding of the American League in 1901 and the club has a long and glorious baseball tradition spanning more than 100 years of baseball. many all time greats have worn the uniform that features the classy English D on the jersey, including Ty Cobb, whom many believe is the greatest player who ever lived.
