Despite all the talk and dissension, I always looked forward to our annual conference. In the ten years that I had been a part of the faculty, I could not recall one year where there wasn't a great deal of value in the different presentations at the event. I had grown weary of some of the negative diatribe that had become customary. In my view, if it was that bad, they should have opted to spend their time elsewhere.
