A foreign romance scam is a deceptive scheme in which a scammer pretends to be in love with a victim from another country with the ultimate goal of stealing money, securing a visa, or manipulating them into a fraudulent marriage. These scams are often elaborate, with scammers spending weeks, months, or even years gaining the victim's trust before making their move.
