The March of the Unsaved. [A religious tract.] by Robert Caldwell first published in 1896.
THE old year has now passed into Eternity. It has borne with it the sighs, and the sorrows, and the sins, of some Fifteen Hundred Millions of our fellow-men. It has swept into their graves, on land or sea, nearly Fifty millions of human beings, for whose temporal and eternal welfare we had been entrusted with the GOSPEL of CHRIST.
Robert Caldwell (7 May 1814 – 28 August 1891) was a missionary for London Missionary Society. He arrived in India at age 24, studied the local language to spread the word of Bible in a vernacular language, studies that led him to author a text on comparative grammar of the South Indian languages.
