Before and after independence, Nigerian life was plagued by corruption, confusion, and unprincipled political battles. However, despite stumbling through several crises, the nation has managed to stay together and avoid total breakdown.

Since the communities have largely never been static, constant cultural contact with both internal and external groups continually, albeit gradually, alters their characteristics.This Manuscript demonstrates the long history of group protests in Nigeria as well as the factors that made them possible. They came to the conclusion that when interest groups are unable to legitimately represent themselves in the appropriate office or organize peaceful demonstrations, violence results.
