Often a small and insignificant event can shape the rest of our lives.

Not long after starting his new job at a medical institute, Neil meets Chrissie. Romance soon blossoms and together they move to a lavish flat in Edinburgh's south side. Everything seems to be falling into place perfectly. But after a throw-away comment unintentionally causes offence to a young student, and a cruel betrayal shatters the life he thought he knew, Neil decides to leave it all behind for the secluded, remote beauty of the Isle of Mull. Here, he finds a slower-paced life; forgiveness and new friendships develop. But will he find happiness?

Richly atmospheric, The Winds from Further West is philosophical, insightful and filled with compassion and humour.
