Most often people don't want to accept the responsibility of following a church entity. There are several dangers to this. I have developed this documentation to tell and inform people of the potential dangers of this issue. This should be enticing them to accept responsibility and tithe. Hopefully this will be helpful to people who are trying to earn a living in a church position as well.

I have previously said that my Suicide Watch was helpful for anyone trying to stop an addictive sinful behavior. My To the Reluctant also fits this criteria quite nicely. It is designed for anyone who is a stubborn jackass who can't seem to quit doing things that the Holy Spirit might not be able to get behind. Stop thinking that spending money is scary. God wants to change you from the inside out, stop trying to fight this. This also requires sacrifice.

Also included are topics of interest to those who are falling short in their duties, with corresponding lessons based on Scripture and secular works.

I believe the Holy Spirit to only be interested in "working income". I am not interested in income related to allowances (such as parents' assistance, disability, or pensions). However should you happen to have a part time job while on an allowance of some kind, or are "earning" said income, that is what the Holy Spirit is wanting 10% of. For instance, say you earn $560 a month on disability but earn $140 a month on a part time job, the 140 is what would be tithed. 14 rather than 70.

Think of To the Reluctant as things to consider to work on yourselves.

I don't think I'm asking for too much with 10% of your income and some facebook activity.

Taken from There is a Season: Authentic, Innovative Ministry in Popular Culture by Chuck Smith Jr-(one reason that helps explain the ineffective Christian response to modernism)The irrelevance of the churches response made its attempts to influence intellectuals ineffective. There were preachers who did address the rising tide of rationalism and a few Christian philosophers who argued for coexistence between faith and reason. However, many preachers used premodern strategies on a battlefield that was increasingly modern. They used a heavy-handed and intimidating mix of argumentation, Scripture quotations, hellfire sermons, and mockery of secular philosophers. But those arguments failed to answer the challenge of modernity in modernity’s terms.

Taken from Tomorrow’s God: Our Greatest Spiritual Challenge by Neale Donald Walsch-Our civilization stands at the brink of its greatest adventure and its most extraordinary achievement. I want you to commit now to finding your place in that creation.

Taken from Tomorrow’s God: Our Greatest Spiritual Challenge by Neale Donald Walsch-What, then, would be the reason to read this book? I suggest that it is not that it contains wisdom that we have not been given, but that it repeats wisdom to which we have not been listening.

And the problem is, if we do not listen to this wisdom now, we may not have many more chances to have it repeated.

Taken from Tomorrow’s God: Our Greatest Spiritual Challenge by Neale Donald Walsch-We are, in sbort, confused. Yet there is a way out of this confusion, and you can play a role in taking us there. This book talks about your role. It says that the next thirty years will see a paradigm shift within humanity so positive, so upheaving, so reshaping, so utterly inside-outing, that it will alter the course of human history. And it invites you-yes, you, the person now holding this book-to join in this reinventing of humanity.

1 Timothy 6:10-For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

I can't do my job if I don't challenge you people. Posting To the Reluctant is something that is meant to challenge and enlighten.

I should rephrase that. you will never be right with God if you aren't challenged. Posting To the Reluctant is my and God's way of challenging and enlightening you.

(as is follow through with the Collection Plate!)

and don't forget that Jesus is calling most of you a bunch of wimps (Matthew 11:30)

Comfortable? If you say yes, then I'm not doing my job right.

Matthew 6:11-Give us this day our daily bread.

This documentation is a method of doing my part in equipping the saints, as I have learned from Chuck Murray.

Mark 4:35-41-On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, "Let us cross over to the other side." Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?" Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, "Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?" And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, "Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!"

Proverbs 6:23- For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is light;

And reproofs for discipline are the way of life
