In a post-apocalyptic and seriously messed up West Coast, everybody seems to be good at getting killed besides Bill…despite how much wants to die. With his true love dead and his friends and family gone, Bill is left in the hands of men who want to keep him alive so they can keep almost killing him…inevitably bringing him back from the brink of death again and again. But something has always conspired to keep Bill alive, or so it would seem. Finding himself alone and alive, Bill sets out up the coast, towards his mom's house in Salinas, California.
