We all know some laws are made to be broken. The trick is knowing which – and when.
The Up-Helly-Aa was not intended as a real Viking funeral. A least, there wasn’t supposed to be a body tucked inside the ship the Lonach Homesteaders built and burned each January. But the discovery of a charred corpse hidden in the wreckage sends Jim and Ginny racing cross country in a perilous attempt to obtain justice for one of their own, with the law and divine retribution in hot pursuit.
Viking Vengeance is the third in the Loch Lonach Mystery Series featuring amateur sleuth Ginny Forbes, Jim Mackenzie, and members of the Loch Lonach community. In this story, a body found in the shouldering ruins of a Viking longship send the hero and heroine cross-country as they attempt to carry out the instructions of the Laird and Council of Loch Lonach. Jim, in particular, must face what it means to be the heir to a responsibility as big as the Loch Lonach Homestead. What role Ginny will play in that future is also still uncertain and both of them must do some serious thinking along the way.
