I bought a Kobo primarily so I could read library books via OverDrive. I encountered a few issues that I wish I'd known about before I bought it though. It's great that you can borrow books directly from the Kobo Libra, however, you can only access library books that are also for sale as Kobo ebooks, so you're not able to access your library's full catalogue (although you can borrow them via the Overdrive site, download them to your desktop and transfer them via USB to your Kobo). Magazines are also unavailable (I read those on my iPad). Kobo are constantly encouraging you to buy their books, so, for example, the search defaults to their shop and you need to change to search OverDrive, and the search result list displays an option to buy, but you have to click on each individual listing to borrow. Also, and this is annoying, although the books you borrow via your Kobo sync with your other devices, the ones you borrow on your other devices don't sync with your Kobo, along with books you tag, add to wishlist, etc. So this results in you needing to make a separate wishlist for Kobo, and transfer books borrowed on other devices manually. The other downside is that the reading format of some library books overrides your own settings, so text may be too small or large for your preference, along with spacing, margins, etc. I borrowed one book so far that was too uncomfortable for me to read due to cramped formatting. As an ereader, the Kobo is great. I already have a Kindle Paperwhite, and the Kobo Libra compares favourably. I love the buttons to turn pages, resolution is good, it's nice and light and easy to hold with one hand, and although a little slow, the responsiveness is fine. Battery life good. I bought a good quality origami case very cheaply on Ebay.

This is my first eReader so I can't compare to any others, but it has been an absolute delight reading on the Kobo Libra. The white design is beautiful, the software has a nice look and it is responsive enough to presses on the touch screen. The page turn buttons are a great feature, and I really appreciate the light colour changing automatically as the sun sets. I'm always disappointed now when I can't borrow a book digitally and must get the physical copy instead.

I love this Kobo Libra H2O, it has a sturdy build and great performance. Works great with most Australian libraries to borrow eBooks (Overdrive/Libby), and the "comfort light" at night works great for reading before bed. Despite its shape, it is actually not the most comfortable to hold compared to the Kindle Oasis but I like the plastic and feels more comfortable putting it in my bag. Would recommend getting a sleep case as well.

Perfect size and easy to use. Convenient to download articles via the pocket app, borrow library books through overdrive and import my own files to the ereader.

I have the original Kobo H2O and have loved using it. I decided to upgrade tp the new H20 and I'm very hap I did. The overall feel and weight is improved, I love the fact you can read in portrait or landscape and the buttons to turn pages also a great feature.
Couldn't be happier.

This is my first e-reader and I love it. It's so useful to be able to click the side buttons to change pages and have the screen rotate. Being able to borrow books from the library is very handy. Highly recommended.

I own the previous model Clara HD which I enjoy but so far the Libra H20, which is a little different appears to be a better option. Still waiting on the cover which appears to be in high demand
