The subject of hypertext and hypermedia has been witnessing a dramatic rise in interest over the last three years both from the academic and the industrial communities. This volume presents the proceedings of the European Conference on Hypertext (ECHT90) conference held in Paris in November 1990, where researchers, developers, and users were able to meet and discuss the theme of hypertext and hypermedia.
