The couple relationship can offer the most wonderful and enriching bond for two individuals. Research has shown that people who are part of a couple live longer, the support of the relationship acting as a buffer against many of the pressures and demands that life throws up. However, whilst being in a relationship can be a tremendous boon, it can also be the root of disharmony between the partners or in the individual themselves.
