This is the story of one of Canada's warships, HMCS Trentonian. Like most of our corvettes, she was named for a Canadian city. The heart and soul of the ship and her crew came from every province in Canada. One of 294 corvettes that became the backbone of the Allied Navy in the Second World War, her history has been gathered from official records detailing the life of a warship and the stories of the men who served in her. Trentonian was the last Canadian warship to be attacked by the Americans and the last corvette to be sunk by the Germans. Three hundred photos taken by her crew and over thirty crew members' stories of life in the ship give a unique perspective of life on a warship, including the terror of being in a sinking ship and watching your shipmates die.
