This book incorporates the two main versions of the text: the Complete Compendium of the Duke of Zhou's Interpretations of Dreams, the most extensive and comprehensive volume, and the Book of Newly Collected Interpretations of Dreams by the Duke of Zhou, a Tang Dynasty edition that was rediscovered among the manuscripts found at Dunhuang in the early 20th century.
Together they contain more than 1,000 entries on dream interpretation, which are grouped by theme into 28 chapters. And they have stood the test of time remarkably well.
