Hiawyn Oram

Hiawyn Oram grew up in South Africa before moving to London to work as an advertising copywriter. She has been writing children's books for 40 years and has published more than 100 books, including Angry Arthur, A Boy Wants a Dinosaur and the Mona the Vampire series.

Her latest picture book for Walker is Snowboy and the Last Tree Standing. Hiawyn lives and works in West London, overlooking a (thankfully quiet) pub.

David Wyatt

David Wyatt is an illustrator living in Devon.

He has illustrated many novels as well as concept and character work. He has illustrated tales by many well-known authors, including Diana Wynne Jones, Terry Pratchett, Philip Pullman, and J. R. R. Tolkien.

He uses many different media for art and exercises his creativity in all sorts of forms.
