Tessa Gearing grew up in South West London. After studying Drama at Birmingham University, she worked for many years as an actor in touring theatre and on the radio.

She travelled around the world with her work, but eventually settled in mid Wales, where she runs storytelling sessions and works in a primary school. She lives with her husband and they have two grown up children. There’s an Alien in my Lunchbox is her first book..

Chris Jevons loved drawing from an early age, inspired by Saturday morning cartoons and Disney animated features. After studying art, design and animation at university, Chris worked as graphic designer and a 2D animator before pursuing a career in children’s publishing. Chris illustrates picture books and fiction for a variety of publishers and lives and works in Harrogate.
