Mama Makes Books is a new UK publishing company producing books for newborns to eight-year-olds. Children are at the centre of our publishing philosophy. We aim to publish books that children and adults enjoy sharing together - books that develop early-learning skills, an understanding of the world, and feed curiosity.

Rachael Saunders is an illustrator based in Hampshire, UK. With a strong interest in the rich printed aesthetic of 1960's children's books, her work explores colour, shape and texture in a vibrant and humorous manner.

Since graduating from Falmouth University in 2014, she has worked with a wide range of international clients including The Wall Street Journal,Radley and Walker Books. From a young age Rachael has always loved to draw; to now have her hobby become a career, she feels extremely blessed.
