It was 9th of February 2014, in Maa Kalkaa’s temple, when Zindagi asked me to write our story in the form of a novel. I was utterly astounded to see such a wish coming from her, but such was my love for her that it didn’t take me even seconds to say a yes. When I wanted to prove my love to her by writing this novel, nowhere in my mind had I thought that my love story would take such a tragic turn. The Heart Transplant of my Girlfriend is just a small attempt to fulfil the promise that I made to the most beautiful girl of my life. “Sometimes, promises are also kept in people’s absence.”
